We were up early this morning so we could get breakfast before going to Shamian Island. I'm exhausted and my foot is really sore/swollen, but Shamian Island is one of my favorite places of all, in China!! We got the girls' TB tests read at the clinic there and they're good to go -- yay! Then we did a lot of shopping... We went to Jordon's shop (we went there last year when we adopted Jadyn) and got most of our things there and then we went to JUDY'S SHOP!!!! I lovveee Judy! We met her last year, also. We met at church on the Island. She's a Christian and has put her faith to practice many times. She gave each of us a free cross necklace and she even told Faith and Anna about Christ. She said Faith has a friend that was adopted awhile back that has told her about God before, but she doesn't know much about Him. And Anna said she has never heard of Him. Go Judy! She is such a blessing and dear friend. I've missed her. It was sooo nice being able to see her again! (that pretty much made my day:)
While sitting in the garden, by Lucy's resturant, waiting for the bus, a man rode up on his bike and started talking to Faith and Anna. Later, we asked Rebecca, our translator to ask the girls what he had said to them, and apparently he was being mean about the fact that they were with foreigners. Poor girls. Can't wait to get them home.
After our shopping adventure, we went out to dinner with the Walkers and another family we met at the hotel. We went to a Mexican resturant. Faith was crying the whole time and refused to talk to us. Then when we went to leave it started to storm... so we got stuck sitting in the doorway for what seems like several hours, but was only an hour and a half. The rain is acidic here, so we couldn't go out in it. Not that we wanted to anyway, the storm was really strong. Once we finally got back to the hotel, Faith was fine. We had Rebecca call and talk to her anyway, and everything seems to be fine now. I think Faith and Anna had had an argument and Faith got upset with Anna. (drama :P) I got to skype with Rachel for over an hour, which was awesome! I miss everyone.
