One down, four to go!
I've officially been here at the orphanage a week!
This week has gone by super fast in some ways, but incredibly slow in others. I don't necessarily want it to go by so fast that I get home and wish I had been here longer, but I do wish I'd keep busy and feel accomplished at the end of the day... hopefully by Tuesday, when I start the photography, it'll be like that.
It didn't rain today (2 days in a row -- amazing!), so I went out and took some shots of the neighborhood (There's not much to see) and went to a little corner market (Donna suggested I go get some ramen noodles and such, so my stomach isn't upset everyday from eating the same thing/their water)...of course, once I got back I had lunch and it was a different meal, for once! And it was really good.
I also played with some of the blind kids tonight -- they're so cute! :)

Donna
I'm SO thankful for Donna. She is such a blessing, in more ways than one. She's given up so much to help these little kids...incredible person. :)
She had me meet with her today to set up a schedule to start doing photography. Looks like I start on Tuesday next week, yay! :) After our meeting she invited me to stay for dinner... Chicken noodle soup...yum :) I think I'm starting to get a cold, so the soup was much appreciated (plus I didn't have to eat the stuff here at the house again....). We talked a lot about the orphans and the adoption process, etc. (Found out Gao Jing, the 5yr old girl I like, is already being adopted!) and talked about Cheng Cheng.... ;)
It finally stopped raining today! It felt great outside, even. I went to Donna's for the first time alone (I get lost easily), and even got back tonight in the dark! I think I'm learning my way around finally... granted, I do have a map ;)

Communication
Communication has been very difficult. One of the Ayi's (nannies) came to my room saying a whole bunch of stuff. The only words I understood was something about 10 o'clock and Donna. Am I supposed to go to Donna's at 10:00? Is she coming here? Am I supposed to call her? Do they need help downstairs? Gah! I wish I knew Chinese!

Sick...
I'm sick :( I was up late skyping and was worried I'd be tired working today... but then I got up super early and realized I'm sick! :( This stinks. I wish I was home or my mom was here... being sick in a house alone is just no fun at all. And there's nothing to do!!
